If you look at it that's just that new movie all together it's actually a great movie you can't compare it to the original but that's like a lot of movies today even all the great superhero movies you can't really compare them to the comics but if you look at it as just like a new entity. *Li Shang's character was replaced by Chen Honghui - Mulan's love interest.
